Post #6 Hartford Hang - this post is for you, far away family and friends!

To my Iowa and Arizona family and Chicago/KC friends - since you are too far away to stop by the coffee shop for a latte and gallery viewing, I promised I would attempt to share the experience via photos.  I wonder if other featured artists photograph their own galleries...probably not....I felt pretty silly doing it! (But anything for you all!)  Enjoy!

Also- thank you to the tall Hartford Coffee shop patron who risked his safety by standing on a somewhat unsteady stool to help me reach the top hooks.  At a vertically challenged 5'4" there was no way I would have been able to hang a respectable gallery on my own...

I took the Megabus to the Windy City last week for a semi-spontaneous vacation and had the opportunity to meet up with some of my favorite people, including this little man. What a beautiful baby!  He has the longest eyelashes I've ever seen and his hair was cracking me up.  His mama knows the importance of baby sunscreen and expertly applied to it to his head with this amazing resulting 'do.  So cute.  I thought he looked like a mini dinosaur.  I may or may not have run at him like a T-rex....

Did I mention he has the most laid back personality and contagious baby laugh?

Check out those eyelashes.  I wasn't kidding....

After a great weekend I made it safely back to the Lou. I can't believe that was only four days prior to the deadly bus crash that claimed the life of a young Mizzou student and injured 58 others when a Megabus traveling from Chicago to St. Louis crashed into a highway overpass. My heart goes out to that family and all of those affected by the accident. Again, I'm reminded of life's temporariness and am so thankful for the watchful eye of my guardian angel.
